Welcome

It is my privilege to welcome pupils, prospective pupils and their families to Edison Primary School.

Through our vision, values and core principles, we strive to provide our pupils and whole school community with high quality education, preparing and equipping our children with the life skills that allow them to thrive in the modern global community. 

Our pupils are articulate, respectful, always ready to learn with a strong understanding of what and how they should keep themselves safe.

Being the first science specialist primary school in Hounslow, we aim to provide a structured and clearly sequenced curriculum that provides pupils with opportunities to: Enquire, Discover, Investigate, Solve, Observe and Navigate their own learning.

We value the feedback of our school communities, and we act upon the feedback we receive.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in December 2024 and Edison Primary School continues to a good school.

I take great pride in sharing some of the highlights from our Ofsted report:

• Pupils are very happy in the school. Staff have developed positive relationships with pupils, and they know the pupils very well.
• The school has high expectations for pupils including those with special educational needs. 
• Pupils have very positive attitudes towards their learning.
• Pupils behave well during lessons and at breaktimes. They are kind and caring to one another. 
• The school has developed an ambitious curriculum for all pupils.
• In the Early Years, the school has carefully considered how children should progress through the curriculum across all areas of learning.

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our pupils, both academically, socially, emotionally and more widely and we take great pride in the close partnerships between our staff, parents, pupils and families. 

It is thanks to the strength of this collaboration that we deliver the best possible learning experience, the best possible learning environment, and the best possible outcomes for each and every one of our pupils.
