Our Board of Trustees

Edison Primary School is run by Edison Trust Limited, and our Board of Trustees holds overall responsibility for the school's strategic direction and for the quality of education our pupils receive. 

Our Chair of Trustees is:

Our Board of Trustees are volunteers who serve as both charity trustees and company directors, and the Board brings together co-opted, member-appointed and parent trustees so that a wide range of professional expertise and community perspectives informs its decisions. 

Its work is built around three core functions:

• setting the school's vision, ethos and long-term priorities; 
• holding the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to account for the school's educational performance and for the performance management of staff; 
• and overseeing the school's finances so that public money is spent wisely and well. 

Our Trustees offer both the support and the challenge that help the school keep improving, and they retain responsibility for ensuring that statutory duties, including safeguarding, are met.
