A Royal Visit to Windsor Castle

Rain certainly didn't stop Year 1 from having a royally good time at Windsor Castle! Armed with waterproofs, excitement, and plenty of smiles, the children set off for a day fit for kings and queens.

The highlight of the day was a fascinating Knight Workshop, where the children discovered what it took to become a knight. We even had our very own knight and dame step into character! In a surprise royal twist, Miss Rose was crowned Queen for the day, earning the honour of sitting on the throne and wearing the crown.

The children then explored Windsor Castle, one of the official homes of King Charles III. They were amazed by the magnificent rooms and treasures throughout the castle.

However, the star attraction for many was Queen Mary's Dolls' House, which captured everyone's imagination with its incredible detail. Despite the rainy weather, Year 1 returned with wonderful memories, new knowledge, and plenty of stories to tell from their royal adventure!
