A Night at the Science Museum

Year 5 had an unforgettable adventure during their overnight trip to the Science Museum last Friday! Pupils left school on Friday afternoon full of excitement as they boarded the coach, ready for a night of science and fun. After arriving, everyone set up their sleeping area with sleeping bags and pillows before jumping straight into their first activity, designing and building bases for astronauts on Mars.
They then explored the transport exhibit while searching for star constellations, followed by some incredible live science experiments featuring fire, rockets and even liquid nitrogen, which left everyone amazed.
After a very busy night, it was finally time to settle down to sleep… although for some, that meant only managing two or three hours before they were awake and ready for more adventures!
After an early start, everyone enjoyed breakfast before heading to the incredible Wonderlab, where everyone got hands on with the experiments. The trip ended with a fascinating film about our planet in the Ronson Theatre 3D IMAX cinema. Returning to school late on Saturday morning, everyone was tired but full of excitement after what was truly a trip of a lifetime!
